Title: Skyapnea Night Broadcasts #03
A very special mix assembled by Giuseppe Ielasi using only ethnographic recordings off his personal collection put together in the last 10 years. A few words by Ielasi about the mix: "The only things that I've been interested in collecting in the last ten years or so are LPs and CDs of ethnographic recordings. I never pretended to be, or become, an ethnomusicologist, so my position is that of a simple listener, fully seduced by the immense power that those 'alien' sounds have on me (and probably slightly disilluded with most of the contemporary music trends). This mix is a sequence of approximately fifty of my favourite recordings, mostly realised in the '60s and '70s, from all over the world (even though the slightly high percentage of recordings from the Solomon Islands might seem a bit weird). A very personal homage to Hugo Zemp, Simha Arom, Charles Duvelle, Artur Simon, Gerhard Kubik and Gilbert Rouget."
